Joy Jones

Joy received her Bachelor of Music from Sam Houston State University in Texas, and Master of Music from SUNY Potsdam’s Crane School of Music. Some of her roles to date include: “Marenka” in The Bartered Bride, “Eurydice” in Orpheus and the Underworld, “Fiordiligi” in Cosi fan tutte, and “Christine Daaé” in Phantom of the Opera. This summer she will be covering “Norma” inNorma and “Elisabetta” in Maria Stuarda. She is the soprano section leader for Oratorio Society of New York and St. Lukes Episcopal Church. Joi writes music in genres such as, but not limited to: baroque-pop, indie rock, dance-pop, and folk, and collaborates with emerging artists along the East Coast and with Young Pals International Record Label. When she is not singing, Joi is teaching voice, piano, and guitar to beginners of all ages. Joy has overseen Opera on Tap’s social media channels since January 2017.
