So – it looks like we will be doing our shows online for a while to come. Gathering to be showered by singer droplets is not a thing anyone wants to do anytime soon.

We want to shake things up a bit so we will be having themes for each of our weekly shows.

Upcoming shows:

5/30 – You pick the theme
6/13 – World Gone Mad
6/27 – Musical Theater

We will be collecting tips to share with our singers – all of whom have had all of their performing work cancelled for the time being.

These shows are short – about 30-40 minutes – and interactive! Comment during the show and we will respond to you.

Find us on our Facebook page Saturday evenings at 7pm until things get back to normal and we can see your lovely faces in person again!

Introducing Opera on Tap Co-Managing Diva Shaunna Lucas
“One of the greatest things about returning to opera after my long break was watching my husband, a die hard metal fan with zero operatic exposure, develop an admiration for it. Now he can be found listening to Verdi in his Dodge Ram on the way to work.”

Shaunna Lucas, soprano: Shaunna’s most recent engagement was with City Theater as Signora Nacarelli in their production of The Light in the Piazza. Prior to that she performed the role of Donna Elvira in Greater Worcester Opera’s production of Don Giovanni. Other notable performances include Rosalinda in Die Fledermaus and Antonia in The Tales of Hoffman with Northwestern University’s Vocal Career Seminar. Shaunna was classically trained at the University of Cincinnati’s College Conservatory of Music. After a thirteen year hiatus, she returned to the stage in 2016. Shaunna lives in Portland, Maine and is a regular performer with the Portland Rossini Club. She was a featured performer in her hometown at the Academy of Holy Names in Albany, New York. She currently studies with Dana Lynne Varga in Boston. A first time mom, Shaunna is currently enjoying time at home with her two month old daughter and is delighted to develop the Maine chapter of Opera on Tap.
