It’s that most horrific time of the year when the dueling forces of darkness battle for dominion over existence. When the quiet people of the countryside can no longer hide from the inevitable pyrrhic victory that awaits them. It’s ELECTION SEASON!
But, you can escape the darkness and desperation, if only for one night at Opera on Tap Los Angeles’ 6th Annual Halloween Show! We’ll sing songs of love and passion. We’ll eat and drink and then eat and drink some more. And when it is all over we’ll crown the winner of the evening’s BEST COSTUME CONTEST. Yes, a real winner, a deserving winner, someone who has inspired your love and admiration. It will be a great time and grand distraction.

AUDITIONS: Auditions will be held at two different Family Music Center locations in the Las Vegas area.
o Sunday, October 23, from 12:00-5:00pm at the Sahara location.
o Tuesday, October 25, from 5:00-8:00pm at the Green Valley location.
SCHEDULING YOUR AUDITION:
o If you would like to schedule an audition, please submit a headshot and resume to lasvegas@operaontap.org, no later than 6:00pm on Saturday, October 15.
o If you have a preferred audition time or date, please indicate that in your email submission. Requests will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis.
o A $10 audition fee will be taken at the time of your audition, which covers the fee for the pianist (Dr. Spencer Baker and Shane Jensen). You are welcome to bring your own accompanist, but please let us know ahead of time.
AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:
o Prepare 3 contrasting arias.
o Prepare brief and interesting introductions for your arias. Our OOT-LV audience will be comprised of opera lovers and opera newbie’s alike. How would you describe your arias to a bar full of people who have never heard opera before?
o Bring a copy of your headshot, resume, and $10 accompanist fee to the audition.
