Broadway to the Bay

Monday, August 22 at 7 pm (doors open at 6:30pm) in the Back Room of Club Café, 209 Columbus Ave

Join members of the 2016 Harbor to the Bay Ride at Club Café for a cabaret-style evening, filled with live performances of your favorite showtunes and musical hits to support the fight to end HIV/AIDS. Drink and dine to the sounds of your favorite scores, all while helping to raise money for Harbor to the Bay, a Boston-based non-profit working to increase HIV/AIDS community awareness, prevention, care and services, and engage those impacted by HIV/AIDS.

Co-hosted by Fenway’s riders, Jay LaMotte and Elizabeth Gruber, we’ll be serving up four of Boston’s hottest local talent, performing numerous hits that you all know and love. From Sondheim to Rodgers and Hammerstein – these classically-trained singers will enchant you with renditions of your favorite Broadway and Hollywood tunes, with opportunities to vote on the music you wish for, as well as request select songs for a small donation.

Come have a drink with us and listen to some of the most famous music in the world, sung by some of the Philadelphia area’s finest singers. You may even see a Viking helmet or two.

Opera on Tap Chicago Presents: Roman Fever

Opera On Tap will continue its Operatic Book Club series with a setting of Edith Wharton’s short story Roman Fever, by American composer Robert Ward. The story is set in a terrace restaurant overlooking the Roman Forum where two widows and their daughters have met by chance. As their daughters talk of falling in love, the full story of the widows’ meeting in the same place twenty years earlier is revealed.

We had so much fun getting all fached up last year that we have decided to do it again. Come hear arias sung in a way you will likely never hear them again as Opera on Tap Berlin presents “What the Fach?!? Vol. 2.”
