What could be better than opera in bars?  Why – opera at breweries, of course!

Colorado is known for its huge number of excellent craft breweries and we intend to sing at them all.

Or we will at least try our very best to hit as many as we can as often as possible!

Our singers will choose the opera arias you absolutely HAVE to hear – whether you are an opera newbie or a serious afficionado –  the coolest, most gorgeous, breathtaking, devastating operatic offerings.

And, for a truly incredible sensory experience, we will be pairing Upslope Brewing Company’s amazing beers with arias!

You have to check out how totally cool this is.

Opera on Tap at Syntax: Physic Opera – Auf Deutsch

Auf Deutsch poster

Mozart, Wagner, Strauss – both Johann and Richard – what did they all do? They wrote opera auf Deutsch, of course!

Say what you will about Germans, they make opera sound right – so we’ll cut them some slack for wearing socks and sandals!

And for those who care – yes – the Rosenkavalier trio will be sung. Tell your friends.

Syntax Physic Opera

Tickets: $8 advance and students/$10 day of show

Arias are lovely – but operas are rarely one-man shows! The real fun, drama, and excitement happens when a few characters get together to plot, fall in love, bully, or just sing different things all at once.

We have scenes from The Magic Flute, Suor Angelica, Falstaff, Rigoletto, La Boheme and more for you!

This evening will also feature the world premiere of The Man with the Good Face, an operatic fable with words and music by Sarah Perske and Nathan Cornelius.

Giacomo Puccini may not have been the most innovative composer of his time, but the man could write a mean melody.

Lots of mean melodies.

Glory.

So many that we are dedicating an entire night to sing as much of his transcendentally gorgeous music as you’ll let us! Which should be a lot, since you picked this theme, so clearly you want it!
