OOT LA Taps into the Opening Week of Monkeytown!

OOT Los Angeles is providing MONKEYTOWN’s featured artists for the opening week of the LA edition. Catch our shows June 1st through 5th.

MONKEYTOWN, the New York City video cinema and dining project opens in Downtown Los Angeles for its Final Edition on June 1st and runs through October 1st. After 10 years in New York, Monkey Town traveled to Denver (2014), Barcelona (2015), and just finished a 3-month run in Austin in February.

The audience sits inside a giant 27-foot cube, watching a two-hour multi-screen video art program, dining on 4- or 5-course menus by Chef Nick Montgomery. Each program includes a 20 minute performance by local artists.

Opera on Tap Chicago will present its next Theme of the Month concert, “80’s Night” (and the feeling’s right) on April 12th at 8 p.m. Watch your favorite OoTChi singers rock out to selections from operas of the 1680’s, 1780’s, 1880’s, and of course the 1980’s. Mozart mingles with Gilbert & Sullivan classics and modern 80’s avant-garde this month. Members only jackets and 80s hair dos optional!

A $5 suggested donation will be taken at the door, which will also enter you in our 50/50 raffle!
